Name Nicola Grove I tell stories locally and nationally. With Sweetbriar – tales of thorns and roses- I perform with musicians Jane Harwood and Russ Stanley. Current show Motherlode includes tales from Finland of mothers and daughters, mothers and sons. Specialist experience of 30 years in storytelling with children and adults with learning difficulties and special educational needs. I have worked in over 50 schools in the UK, and lectured internationally, training staff in how to adapt literature and poetry and to tell stories with children with severe communication difficulties.

I’m the Director and founder of The Unlimited Company, the first professional company of storytellers with learning disabilities. Unlimited work in the west country and nationally, offering training and support in all aspects of narrative and storytelling for adults with learning disabilities, support workers and families. New accredited course in inclusive storytelling is in preparation (see www.bild.org.uk/storytelling).
